NIPPON PGM Co., Ltd. was established as a joint venture by DOWA Metals & Mining Co., Ltd, Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo K.K. and Kosaka Smelting and Refining Co., Ltd. in 1991.DOWA, a top-class non-ferrous metals' smelter group, and Tanaka, a world-famous precious metals refiner, have joined their strenght, 100 year-long technical expertise and experience in the establishment of the Nippon PGM Co., Ltd.Forging the accumulated know-how of these companies together has created a unique and environmentally sound PGM recycling process of the Nippon PGM, the ROSE Process.Current recycling plant in Kosaka, Akita Prefecture, is the world's largest pyrometallurgical recycling plant, dedicated to only Platinum Group Metals' recycling.
